Edges of the Late Romantic

Nineteen-year-old violinist Kevin Zhu won the Paganini competition in Genova, Italy in 2018. This, and other competition wins, made him into a leading figure among the top young violinists of our time.

The program he chose for his Dreamstage debut is a stunning combination of late romantic favorites leading us deeply into the nostalgia of the 20th century. Hear Kevin Zhu perform on his magnificent Stradivarius violin that is on generous loan from the Ryuji Ueno Foundation and Rare Violins in consortium.

  • B. Bartók: Sonata for solo violin, Sz. 117
